Photography has been my passion since I was a kid, and being a full-time photographer in my early 20s has seriously been a dream. I’ve been practicing since 2013, and honestly, I’ve loved every second of it. There's something so special about capturing moments of pure joy and sharing them with my clients—it really makes this feel like the perfect job. I get to do what I love while building connections and friendships along the way.
I specialize in portrait photography—whether it's senior photos, family sessions, couples' pictures, weddings, or lifestyle shots. I’m all about being there for every moment, big or small, because photos last a lifetime. I’m super outgoing, so I always look forward to the fun convos with my clients during our shoots. Making sure everyone feels comfortable is a top priority for me. I’m so excited to see where this journey takes me, and I’d love for you to be a part of it!

When I am not working you can find me spending time with the people that I love or catching up on whatever TV series I am hooked on at the moment. I love spending my time reading books & watching old rom-coms. After recently buying my first home, a beach cottage by the bay, I spend a lot of my time there. Whether it is down at the beach on warm days or making lattes for friends on slower days. My dream is to settle down on some land in a couple years. Whether that is in Virginia or I find myself elsewhere.

Where are you based?
I am based in Virginia Beach, VA. I love an adventure, so take me wherever you are! There is a travel fee for any sessions 40 min or more away. I want to serve you from land to sea!
When will we get our photos?
One thing I pride myself in is fast, yet quality service. For a regular session the photos will be delivered through an online album within 3 to 4 weeks.
Wedding gallery turn around is typically 6 to 8 weeks, if longer the client will be informed, but I try to always stick to my 4 to 8 week turn around rate. Wedding clients will receive sneak peeks within 72 hours of their special day.
I know how hard it is to wait for photos after a photo session, so I want to make sure the wait isn't too long for my clients!
What type of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, checks, Zelle, and Venmo! Whatever is easiest for my client works great for me! My Venmo is @faithwestphotography and checks are made out to "Faith West Photography"
Do I only receive the edited photos?
I love taking my time and showing my creativity behind each photo. I only send out edited photos, but trust me you will receive a ton! If there are any special requests for unedited photos I am more than happy to discuss that with you.
How do I receive my photos?
All sessions are sent through an online gallery. After I finished editing photos and send them out to my clients - my clients will have full ownership over the photos. I do LOVE being tagged in posts after a session to spread my name among other potential clients!
What should I wear to my session?
I get asked this question a lot - so I thought I would add it on my website. I usually recommend neutrals or light colors for my clients. It is fun to have one outfit with a pop of color but whites, blacks, grey, denim, & khaki always look great too! For my senior sessions it is great to have a good mix of styles in each outfit - like one casual, one cute, & maybe a mix of the two for the third/fourth outfit. For couples doing 2 outfit sessions I recommend one casual outfit then one dressed up outfit this allows for variety & fun!
